What is NAET?
Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Techniques, also known as NAET, are an energetic treatment to allergies invented by Dr. Devi Nambudripad in 1983.
They are a non-invasive, drug free, natural solution to alleviate allergies of all types and intensities using a blend of selective energy balancing, testing and treatment procedures from acupuncture/acupressure, nutritional, and kinesiological disciplines of medicine.
NAET’s Theory
The theory of NAET proposes that allergies can be eliminated by addressing the energy blockages through the use of acupuncture or acupressure.
It consists in transmitting new information to the brain, in order to modify its false perception of the allergen. Stimulating some acupuncture points increases the tolerance towards the substance. That’s why the NAET method talks about “Reprogramming”.
These principles are well established in Eastern medicine, which follows a different paradigm from that of western medicine.
NAET’s Benefits
After having received NAET treatment, patients get back to enjoying their meals, have more energy, and enjoy a better health physically, psychologically and emotionally.
Its main objective is to desensitise the body towards food intolerances (eggs, milk, peanuts, …) and allergies (to pollen, fungus, mites, penicillin, aspirin, seafood, latex, grasses, flowers, perfumes, animal epitheliums, make-up, chemicals, smoke, pathogenic organisms, heat, cold, and other environmental substances).
The treatment can be given to individuals of any age.
What is a NAET treatment?
NAET practitioners use a form of applied kinesiology called Neuromuscular Sensitivity Testing to diagnose allergies by comparing the strength of a muscle in the presence and absence of a suspected allergen.
Practitioners will then aim to remove energy blockages by having the patient hold a glass bottle containing the allergen whilst acupressure or acupuncture techniques are employed.
Patients rest 20 minutes while continuing to hold the jar containing the allergen, after which time the patient will again be tested for a sensitivity reaction using the muscle strength test.
If the NAET practitioner determines the sensitivity has cleared, the patient is advised to avoid the substance for the following 25 hours or more.
Patients are invited to return for retesting with NAET between 25 hours and 7 days after the treatment.
If you are not severely immune deficient, you may need just one treatment to desensitise one allergen.
A person with mild to moderate amount of allergies may take about 15-20 office visits to desensitise 15-20 food and environmental allergens.
Basic essential nutrients are treated during the first few visits. Allergens are treated after completing about ten basic essential nutrients.
