First, we will tell you if we can help you. Not all cases can be fixed with Acupuncture.
Western medicine is very effective when there is a physical impediment (non-permeable fallopian tubes , large myoma, etc …) but this is only 40% of cases.
The other 60% of cases, while all tests are fine (according to western medicine) couples are not getting pregnant. This infertility of “unknown origin” is due to small disorders that are not detected with conventional tests but can be detected and corrected with Chinese Medicine.
The Chinese, before the recent policy of the “single child”, valued a large family over other things. Therefore, Chinese medicine has developed over 5000 years, a treasure of remedies for all types of sterility.
How will be our first meeting?
At our first appointment, we will ask you to bring with you all the blood work and test results you have at home.
We will review all your medical records and we will ask you in detail about your menstrual cycle, about your daily habits and other symptoms that you might have.
Afterwards, we will ask you to lie down on a couch and we will explain in detail how Acupuncture works.
You will be able to experience the immediate effect of Acupuncture points.
You will be in control at all times during the treatment, and you will confirm by yourself that you don’t feel the needles (Japanese acupuncture style).
Then we’ll let you rest for 30mn with the needles on.
At any time, you will be able to contact us. Even if momentarily we leave the room, you will have an electronic buzzer to call us if you need assistance.
At the end of the session, we will review your symptoms and check the improvement before-after.
You will feel extremely relaxed after the treatment. Please, do not plan important things after because your brain will not want to do anything but continue in this deep well-being.
When will I get pregnant?
After our first treatment, we will be able to explain the major impediments to your pregnancy.
However, your cycle has 4 different phases where your body is dedicated to different aspects of your fertility:
- Week 1 – re-initialization of the uterus lining (the “mattress” where implantation is done)
- Week 2 – follicular growth (essential to have a quality egg)
- Week 3 – ovulation and uterine receptivity (critical to avoid rejection of the embryo)
- Week 4 – implantation of the embryo (to encourage the growth of the embryo sac)
In addition to the major impediments detected, we will have to see each other during each of these phases to ensure its proper functioning.
Once the problematic moments have been located, we will correct the dysfunctions in the indicated phase.
Without knowing the particulars, it is difficult to give an estimate number of treatments. But even in the worst cases, 3 menstrual cycles are enough to radically change your fertility.
Should I do other things besides Acupuncture?
According to the case, we ask to do more tests with a gynecologist.
If you do not have, or if your gynecologist does not specialize in fertility, we will recommend a specialist to you.
If we see the need, we will recommend health supplements, chinese herbal medicine or other therapies.
